29 Nov 《2016 Seoul MICE Week》③Landing Jobs in MICE through ‘MICE Counseling for Jobseekers’! and MICE! Ask for Anything
During the ‘Golden Bell’ and ‘Real Time of Meeting MICE’ events, the counseling booth of ‘Jobcenter, MICE Ask for Anything’ operated in the lobby for undergraduates and jobseekers. With youth unemployment and job creation a global issue, Seoul City provided the career counseling program to share job information and tips for young jobseekers in the MICE sector.
The career counseling booths were prepared by six MICE-related organizations including the Korea MICE Association, Hallym University of Graduate Studies, Ewha International Conference Management Center, Kyung Hee MICE Creative Academy, Seoul MICE Supporters (the Seoul Tourism Organization), and Korea Exhibition Organizers Association. Booth staff provided broad information on the MICE industry particularly for students who lacked specific knowledge and experience in the field.
Eager students came with a list of specific questions on everything from the future prospect of convention centers and preparation recommendation for the MICE field. After a session, one student shared, “I think I’m becoming aware of the immediate steps I need to take after job counseling.”
The Seoul Metropolitan Government added that it remains committed to providing relevant educational and job counseling to advance youth employment in MICE.
