GANGNAM-A charity bazaar was held at urban lifestyle accommodation Hotel Cappuccino from October 29-30, with all proceeds from the event going to international non-profit organization Water.org. The event was attended by guests of the hotel and local visitors who were invited to donate, shop, and enjoy fall comfort foods.

“This was our first charity bazaar for Hotel Cappuccino, and we were very grateful for the participation of our enthusiastic vendors and of course for everyone who came by to support the event” said Hotel Cappuccino General Manager Susan Lee. “We look forward to continue working with our vendors and staff to create an even bigger charity bazaar in the future, along with other community initiatives for important social issues,” she added.

Held over Halloween weekend, the bazaar was filled with both charitable causes and Halloween fun. The hotel’s lobby featured several fund raisers for charity, such as an electronic basketball hoop set game, with winners receiving a lucky draw prize courtesy of management. The Hotel Cappuccino clothing donation box was also put to good use during the event. Showing support for OTCAN, an international non-profit that uses clothing donations to provide better facilities in third-world countries, the donation box has been a permanent feature of the lobby since the hotel’s opening. Visitors also were invited to make donations to water.org by dropping coins into a target placed in a large jar of water – a game designed to remind them of the hotel’s efforts to reduce water usage in line with the non-profit organization’s shared aims.

The highlight of the event was the presence of the many vendors selling handmade crafts, accessories, and other products and services. Vendors in attendance included local artisanal jeweler Ji Hey Park, fragrances by Tank Visual Design and Lepisode, fashion blogger UZINE, Seoul Wine & Spirits, international non-profit organization Save the Children, organic fruit distributor Farms & Farms, cashmere scarf line Malmaison and Hotel Cappuccino. Several other donors also contributed to the event, including specialty dog product maker Walwari and Hongdae escape room No Escape.

As well as being part of Hotel Cappuccino’s ongoing commitments to water.org, the Autumn Bazaar for charity underscored the accommodation’s overall mission to help guests and visitors find fun in giving back. The hotel’s Shared Value Program has been a key component of its identity ever since Hotel Cappuccino’s grand opening in December 2015.
